After getting the results…i.e, rank card and score card all the people who appeared in the GATE exam are eager to join in IITs or NITs,because of limited seats in that colleges(maybe in the specialized branches in that colleges) one may not get the SEAT to their wish …..... in that case please don’t disappoint because after the IITs and NITs there are many famous colleges who are offering the M.E/M.tech courses in their colleges like VIT, BITS PILANI, ANNA UNIVERSITY…... and many more…..

now i think all most all engineering colleges offering M.E/M.Tech courses please choose carefully when you didn’t get the seat in IITs or NITs, but don’t disappoint

hello…...... apart from GATE what all exams r there for ME/MTech?? what is the scope after pursuing this degree…? i mean i heard that we can only go for lecturership.cant we get job in any industry or company and one more thing..apart from GATE what are the other exams for ME/MTech???

  hi neha i understand ur query…. apart from GATE there lot of exams like NON-GATE etc…. and some prestigious colleges have their own entrance exams ….. however all most all colleges follow the GATE syllubus only….......... and off course now all private institutions considering the GATE percentile for the admission in to their colleges … lastly what i can say is write GATE and work for good rank or percentile then u can get admission in any iit or nit or you can try for the admission in other colleges like VIT,ANNA…...........

  Hi,
  
  Definitely GATE is accepted by almost all the colleges offering M.Tech. Eventhough there are few colleges which conduct their own entrance most of them consider GATE scores as well. Also, preparation for GATE will be sufficient to handle these individual exams.
  
  It is not true that M.Techs are only for teachers or lecturers. There are good number of M.Techs who work for prestigious MNCs besides research organizations. All you have to do is to get into a reputed college and I am sure you can achieve your goal

  For this you have to visit the websites of the IITs. Generally, the top percentile i.e. 99.xx gets you into IITs

  Almost all the decent colleges consider GATE score for admission into their M.Tech program. Even if certain colleges conduct their own test, they will definitely accept GATE scores as well.

hello sir, i have passed my BE CIVIL with 57%.. i called to almost all IIT’s and came to know that min 60% are reqd(in some IIT’s, they take average of all semisters while others see whats printed on the passing certificate).. so m giving class improvement.. as i have passed from pune university,will be getting ‘passed with first class’ printed on my passing certificate.. can u plz let me know after that, wil i be eligible to get admited in IIT’s??? which IIT’s will allow me??? also can u plz tel me the cotoff percentile for doing m-tec in structures at various IIT’s or NIIT’s.. i know that the cut-off vary every year.., but i just want general idea.. m from open category.. thanking you in advance.. take care.
